Hey again, America’s Tweetheart here with your Twitter 411!
Did ya miss me?
Missed you guys too, but luckily, I didn’t miss a second of the drama going down on Twitter.
So here are my fave trending topics for this week:
Make sure to read the written post below too..I was a little long winded & didn’t have time to get my 3rd topic in the video..hee hee.
Elton John and Madonna Feud was trending
#1-Elton John & Madonna Feud was trending. Talk about drama! It all went down backstage at the Golden Globes when the Rocketman started talking shit bout the Materialwoman. (She was not afraid to talk back either.) Then Madge beat out Sir Elton for Best Original Song and his partner David Furnish decided to join the feud with a facebook rant. (And rant is a bit of an understatement) Check out the Pop Tweets video show to hear exactly what was said by all 3 parties and leave your vote for Biggest Drama Queen in comment section below.
#2-Dan & Blair were trending. (Speaking of drama queens…LOL) Yes, I’m aware that if you don’t watch Gossip Girl, you have no idea what I’m talking about.
And stop judging me…it’s a really good show! Well at least usually…This week’s episode “An Affair to Remember” was the first ep ever without Gossip Girl’s usual narration (voiced by Kristen Bell). Apparenly, Serena took GG down with her (extremely self absorbed) blog that she’s been writing for like a week. Oh & Nate helped too. (Like Nate is capable of taking anyone down..tee hee) Then we were also supposed to think Dan & Blair were having an affair, but it turns out they were doing something entirely different together. I won’t spoil it for those of you who still have in que-ed up on the ole DVR, but this episode was definitely a little God- heavy! I mean, isn’t Gossip Girl supposed to be god to the upper east siders?
#3 SOPA STRIKE was trending. On Jan 18th thousands of websites (including heavy hitters like Wikepedia, WordPress, Wired , DrudgeReport & Pop Tweets) went black, in protest of proposed anti-piracy bills SOPA & PIPA. According to the Sopa Strike website, it was the largest internet protest in history! If you haven’t been following this drama, learn more about the bills on Wikepedia. (Which might not be around much longer if these bills passed. ) I encourage all my tweetie pies to please visit AmericanCensorship.org to see what you can do can do to join in the battle against internet censorship. Unfortunaty the feud between he U.S. Government & the Internet isn’t nearly as funny as the one between Elton & Madge.
Okey Dokey Tweeps! Have a great week..
Tweets ya Later!
